Founder and Clinical Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist who supports adults through the complexities of emotional life, including anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, and the process of reconnecting with a sense of self. I provide both psychotherapy and psychodiagnostic assessments, including evaluations for ADHD and autism. My work is especially focused on individuals impacted by early relational trauma, such as emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, neglect, and experiences of abandonment.

I am registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario and authorized to provide psychological services to adults residing in Ontario.

I offer virtual services only.
Availability is updated regularly, and I am currently accepting new clients.

Therapeutic approach

My approach is grounded in neuroscience, attachment theory, and the transformative power of emotional experience. I believe that, due to its remarkable capacity for neuroplasticity, the brain can change throughout life. This adaptability offers a powerful foundation for healing and growth.

I take a strength-based and experiential approach to psychotherapy, placing emphasis on identifying and savouring positive emotional states such as joy, compassion, curiosity, calm, and excitement. These emotions are meaningful in themselves and have been shown to support emotional regulation and build psychological resilience.

Modalities and methods

I draw primarily from Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an attachment-based, emotion-focused model that helps clients access core emotions, shift entrenched patterns, and experience transformation through a secure and attuned therapeutic relationship.

To support trauma processing on a physiological level, I also integrate brainspotting, somatic experiencing, and other body-based and experiential approaches that help clients reconnect with their innate capacity for healing.

In addition, I incorporate more structured therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). These approaches offer practical tools for insight, emotional regulation, and behavioural change, and are tailored to meet each person’s individual goals and needs.

Core values in therapy

I believe that healing occurs within safe, attuned relationships where emotions are met with empathy, curiosity, and presence. My aim is to create conditions where the nervous system can experience moments of rest, safety, and regulation. I draw from a wide range of research-supported therapies and tailor the process to meet your specific needs and therapeutic goals.

I welcome individuals from all walks of life and am committed to creating a space that is inclusive, affirming, and responsive to each person’s unique nervous system, identity, culture, and lived experience.

Educational and clinical background

I completed my doctoral training in clinical psychology at Concordia University in Montreal in 2023. My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including psychiatric hospitals, community mental health clinics, university counselling centres, and private practices in Ottawa, Montreal, and Vancouver. I have worked with individuals experiencing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD, trauma-related disorders, and have provided therapy in the contexts of sex and couple therapy as well as group therapy. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2013.

My doctoral research explored how cultural values, shared meaning-making, and social context shape people’s understanding of mental health and their pathways to care. Using cultural consensus analysis and a focus on explanatory models of mental illness, my work highlighted the importance of situating psychological experiences within each person’s cultural and relational world.
